The Lucerne Hotel in New York is a nice place for writers and creative types to stay.

Copywriters have to visit New York from time to time. You might as well stay at a comfortable hotel . . . The Lucerne Hotel New York.

From time to time I go to New York. I usually go to give a presentation related to an ad campaign. Getting around the city can be a problem. But I found a great place to stay, The Lucerne Hotel.

This fantastic 1903 building is a landmark and has been a number of things over the years like so many buildings in New York. It is now a luxury boutique hotel and a fantastic one at that.

The Lucerne Hotel is at Amsterdam Ave, The Upper West Side. Prices are reasonable for New York.

The Lucerne has a restaurant; fitness center; business center; 24-hr. room service; dry cleaning and laundry service. So next time you're in New York, stay at The Lucerne Hotel. You'll enjoy every minute of it.

I think the staff at The Lucerne Hotel is really great and helpful. Someone is always there if you need something. It's not the perfect hotel but it's one you'll enjoy. I found the view less than I'd hoped for. But when you're there on business that's not too important.

The neighborhood around The Lucerne Hotel is upscale residential and has lots of shops, restaurants, and museums close by. The Lucerne has 250 guest rooms and suites with traditional American decor ($130 to $410). Televisions with Nintendo and Web access, fitness center with city views, business center, continental breakfast for $5. Nearby parking is $25.

The Lucerne Hotel is owned by The Empire Hotel Group, a distinctive collection of 6 hotels on Manhattan’s West Side.

Places to visit when you're in New York City

There's never a lack of things to do in New York. I like to go to the Village although it's changed a lot to what it used to be. There are so many things to do that you can only get in a few things. As an opera lover I have to hit the Met. But below are a number of must-sees when you go to New York City.
